For all those Architecture fans out there the DDDA have organised a really interesting talk this Thursday in our very own chq Building.
If architecture isn't your thing why not come along to the Friday night event and relax your senses after a busy week with a spot of opera, with The Opera Theatre Company.

3 Bridges, Architecture Association of Ireland (AAI)
25th March, 2010, 7.30pm
The results of the 2009/ 2010 AAI Student Competition will be announced at the chq building on 25th March in conjunction with a joint lecture event to be given by Shih-Fu Peng of Heneghan.Peng.Architects and Holger Falter of ARUP London. The theme of the lecture is '3 Bridges'. Up to 200 architects and architectural students are expected to attend the event which is free of charge.

The Schumann Story: Clara & Robert , Opera Theatre Company
26th March, 2010, 7.30pm
Located in some of the most beautiful and historic of Irish locations, The Schumann Story: Clara & Robert takes place at the chq building and is narrated by Ingrid Craigie. This opera features talented mezzo-soprano Imelda Drumm and baritone Julian Hubbard performing Schumann's finest Lieder with piano accompaniment by David Bremner. This is a fully ticketed event with up to 200 guests expected.

The chq building, the IFSC's shopping and dining destination is the city centre home of Irish interiors retailer, Meadows & Byrne and menswear shops, Louis Copeland and Henry Jermyn alongside Fitzpatrick's Shoe and Mitchell's Wines. Built in the 1800s as a bonded warehouse to store wine and tobacco, the chq building is also the home of reaturants, ely winebar and Toss'd Noodles trading alongside Starbucks, Insomnia and House of Tea.
